3 Ways To Keep Shower Glass Doors Clean

If you are moving into a new home that has a glass shower, then you will have to provide daily care for the glass so that it does not look foggy or gross after a few weeks. Here are 3 of the easiest ways to keep your shower glass door clean.

Vinegar

First, you can start by filling a spray bottle with vinegar. Vinegar is a natural hard water killer, which means that you will not get lots of hard water spots if you use this solution.

After a shower, make sure that you take the spray bottle and spray the glass down. You can leave the vinegar on the glass and let it dry, or you can use a towel and wipe the vinegar and water off. This will make the glass really clean and shiny, and it will kill any bacteria that is trying to grow on the door.

The smell of vinegar can be quite strong, so make sure that you do not trap yourself in the shower while cleaning the glass. Open the shower door and spray it, and you can also turn on a fan or open a window so that the smell disappears quickly.

Wipers

Second, another easy and effective option is to use a squeegee wiper so that the water is removed from the glass after each showering. To use the squeegee effectively, use downward strokes from the top of the glass to the bottom of the glass.

Shake off the wiper after each time you wipe the glass, and this will prevent the water from dripping all over the next section of the window. Also, clean the wiper every few weeks to make sure that no bacteria has formed. You do not want to spread bacteria on the glass, because this bacteria can enter into the steaming water when you shower.

Lemon Juice

Lastly, lemon juice will also clean your glass shower well so that it is free of bacteria and hard water. It is best to use fresh lemon juice because of its potency, so make sure that you use it instead of bottled lemon juice.

Simply dip a rag in the juice, wipe the glass down, and then use a dry rag to get rid of the lemon. Not only will your shower look nice, but it will also be very clean since the bacteria will die.
